On July 22, 2026, TBH: Task Bar Hero received its largest balance patch since launch. Ver 1.01.00 delivers on the roadmap's July promise: the Steam Market is now fully open for Celestial, Divine, and Cosmic rarity items. The Hunter received massive buffs across the board. Ranged monster damage was slashed by up to 40%. Melee heroes got a significant survivability boost. A hotfix (1.01.01) followed hours later to fix emergency revival bugs, and a brief server outage occurred when players flooded back in.
Steam Market Fully Opens - Top 3 Rarities Now Tradeable
This is the change everyone has been waiting for since the roadmap announcement on July 11. Celestial, Divine, and Cosmic grade materials and equipment can now be listed on the Steam Community Market. These are the three highest rarity tiers in TBH, previously locked behind market restrictions while the developers stabilized the trading environment and cracked down on bot accounts.
The market opening comes with some caveats: immediately after the update, server traffic may spike enough to cause queues of up to 30 minutes. Individual accounts may see market trading become available up to 1 hour apart from each other as the system rolls out gradually. These are launch-day friction points, not permanent limits.
We expect the first 48-72 hours of the open market to be chaotic. Celestial+ items have never been tradeable before, so there is no price history for buyers or sellers to reference. Early sellers will set the initial price benchmarks. If you have high-rarity items sitting in your inventory, the first 24 hours is likely the best window to list them at a premium before supply catches up and prices stabilize.
Hunter - The Big Winner of This Patch
| Change | Before | After | Impact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lv.50 Passive: Attack Damage | +3 | +5 | +67% more ATK from this passive |
| Lv.70 Passive: Attack Speed | 4% | 6% | +50% more Attack Speed |
| Explosive Bolt trigger | 6 basic attacks | 5 basic attacks | Fires 20% more often |
| Shock Bolt trigger | 11 basic attacks | 8 basic attacks | Fires 37% more often |
| Shock Bolt Lv.1 damage | 270% | 380% | +40% base damage |
| Shock Bolt per-level gain | 20% | 55% | +175% scaling per level |
| Base Movement Speed | 750 | 850 | +13% faster |
This is not a small buff. The Hunter was already the highest damage ceiling class in the game, and this patch pushes it further ahead. The Shock Bolt changes are particularly impactful: 380% base damage at level 1 (up from 270%) combined with the trigger requirement dropping from 11 to 8 basic attacks means Shock Bolt is now a legitimate primary skill rather than a coverage option you take one point in.
In our testing, a level 10 Shock Bolt now deals 875% damage (380% + 9 x 55%) compared to 450% previously (270% + 9 x 20%). That is nearly double the old value. Combined with the Explosive Bolt trigger reduction from 6 to 5, the Hunter's overall damage output increased by an estimated 30-40% depending on build. This is the biggest single-class buff we have seen in any TBH patch.
The Movement Speed increase (750 to 850) also matters more than it looks on paper. Faster movement means less time walking between enemy waves and more time dealing damage. Over an 8-hour AFK session, that adds up to noticeably more kills.
Slayer - Stronger and Faster
| Change | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Lv.30 Passive: Max HP | +15 | +20 |
| Lv.60 Passive: Max HP | +20 | +30 |
| Lv.60 Passive: Movement Speed | 2% | 3% |
| Crushing Blow trigger | 5 attacks | 4 attacks |
| Ground Slam trigger | 9 attacks | 7 attacks |
| Base Movement Speed | 850 | 900 |
The Slayer received a solid across-the-board buff. More Max HP from passives (total +15 across both tiers) improves its already-strong self-sustain. The trigger reductions on Crushing Blow (5 to 4) and Ground Slam (9 to 7) mean both skills fire more frequently, increasing the Slayer's damage output and AoE coverage. Base movement speed of 900 makes the Slayer the fastest class in the game, which helps it close distance to enemies and maintain damage uptime.
Knight & Priest - The Elemental Resistance "Bug Fix"
This is the most controversial change in the patch. Both Knight and Priest had their Elemental Resistance passives drastically reduced:
| Hero | Passive | Before | After |
|---|---|---|---|
| Knight | 60-point passive: Elemental Resistance | 30% | 5% |
| Priest | 50-point passive: Elemental Resistance | 20% | 4% |
The developers frame this as a bug fix: the values were "incorrectly applied" at 30% and 20%, and the intended values were 5% and 4%. Whether you believe this was a bug or a stealth nerf, the practical effect is the same: your Knight and Priest are now significantly more vulnerable to elemental damage in Hell and Torment difficulty.
However, the patch compensates for this in two ways. First, ranged elemental monster damage was reduced by 40% globally. Second, decoration/engraving/inscription resistance values were increased by 1.3x to 1.8x. Knights also gained a new 70-point passive (+30 Max HP, replacing the old +1 Attack Damage), which adds raw survivability. The net effect for a well-geared party is roughly neutral, but players who were relying entirely on the passive resistance values without gearing for resistance will feel noticeably squishier.
Our take: the resistance passive values were clearly too high (30% free elemental resistance was making elemental damage a non-factor), but reducing them to 5%/4% while nerfing ranged elemental monsters by 40% essentially moves elemental defense from "free passive" to "something you need to gear for." This is a healthier design long-term, but it is a short-term nerf for anyone who had not invested in resistance on their gear and Cube modifications.
System-Wide Changes
| Change | Impact |
|---|---|
| Armor Max HP up to 1.5x | All armor pieces (Helmet, Armor, Gloves, Boots) have their inherent Max HP stat increased by up to 1.5x. This is a huge survivability buff for every class. |
| Ranged physical monster damage -25% | Backline DPS classes (Ranger, Sorcerer, Hunter) take significantly less damage from ranged physical attacks. This directly buffs survivability in Hell+ where backline-targeting ranged enemies are the primary threat. |
| Ranged elemental monster damage -40% | Elemental damage from ranged monsters is nearly halved. Combined with the resistance passive changes, this shifts elemental defense toward gear rather than innate passives. |
| Melee armor cap 75% to 85% | Knight, Priest, and Slayer now reduce physical damage by up to 85% through Armor (up from 75%). This is a massive buff to melee survivability, especially for the Knight who stacks Armor as a primary stat. |
| Decoration/Engraving/Inscription resistance values x1.3 to x1.8 | Cube modifications that grant resistance are now significantly stronger. This partially offsets the passive resistance nerfs for players who invest in Cube customization. |
22 Bug Fixes
The patch addresses a long list of bugs that have been frustrating players for weeks. Notable fixes include:
- Hunter's Shock Bolt area damage was dealing abnormally low damage. Now fixed.
- Hunter's Explosive Bolt and Frost Bolt were not properly receiving Area of Effect stat increases. Now they do, further buffing Hunter's clear speed.
- Cube Decoration/Engraving/Inscription had a bug where registering different equipment during a recipe caused incorrect results. Fixed.
- Cube Offering had gold not being properly deducted and materials being unregistered when hovering over other items. Both fixed.
- Cube Crafting occasionally allowed crafting without a selected recipe. Fixed.
- Memory leak when repeating stages has been improved, reducing crashes during long AFK sessions.
- 401 error crashes during extended play sessions fixed.
- Party revival issues (party members not reviving, being removed from party on restart) fixed in hotfix 1.01.01.
- Priest's Resurrection skill activation fixed in hotfix 1.01.01.
Server Outage Aftermath
Ver 1.01.01 was deployed hours after 1.01.00 to fix urgent revival bugs, but the update triggered a surge of returning players that exceeded server scaling capacity. This caused server lag, Cube malfunctions, and login failures for several hours. The issues have been resolved and the developers stated they are preparing countermeasures against future traffic surges.
This is the third significant server incident since launch (May 27 overload, June 30 compensation event, and now July 22). Each time, the root cause is the same: player demand exceeding infrastructure expectations. The positive read is that TBH continues to attract players. The negative read is that server stability remains a recurring problem two months post-launch.
What This Means for Players
- The market is open. Sell now. Celestial+ items have no price history. Early sellers set the benchmarks and capture the highest prices before supply stabilizes. If you have high-rarity items in your inventory, list them in the first 24 hours.
- Hunter is now the undisputed top DPS. The Shock Bolt rework alone is a 40%+ damage increase. Combined with the trigger reductions on both Explosive and Shock Bolt, plus the movement speed buff, Hunter pulls even further ahead of the free DPS options. If you were on the fence about buying the Hunter DLC, this patch makes the decision easier.
- Melee survivability is dramatically improved. 85% armor cap + 1.5x armor HP + -40% ranged elemental damage. Knight and Slayer are noticeably tankier now. Priest also benefits from the armor cap change and movement speed buff.
- Gear for resistance now. The passive resistance nerfs are real. If you are pushing Hell or Torment, invest in resistance on your Cube decorations and engravings. The buff to resistance values on Cube modifications (1.3x-1.8x) means this investment pays off faster than before.
- Cube bugs are mostly fixed. If you avoided Cube customization due to the bugs (incorrect results, gold not deducting, materials disappearing), now is the time to start using it properly.
Ver 1.01.00 is the patch that delivers on the roadmap's biggest promise: full market access. The Hunter buffs and melee survivability improvements are significant but secondary. For most players, the ability to finally sell Celestial, Divine, and Cosmic items is the headline. Early market activity suggests strong demand for high-rarity accessories and weapons. We recommend listing your best items now and adjusting prices as the market finds its equilibrium over the coming weeks.
